I missed writing something yesterday because I was on a beach drinking mulled wine to keep warm and then whisky when the wine ran out. It was a lot of fun. It was also the coldest I have been in a long time. I was so happy for the extra fluffy blanket on my bed when I finally got to it.

Your excuse note generates copious jealousy over here, where it's warmed up to 45 with a 20mph breeze. (But I bet it wasn't that much warmer on your beach.)

I just got back from the second night of it and my phone says it's 46°, yeah. It was really windy at some points too! And it rained at first... I was wearing at least two layers everywhere, two hoods, Timberlands, and a wonderful (borrowed, thus extra appreciated) coat and it was fine.
