I'm listening to a podcast episode about Cyril the Swan, and it's funny, but honestly none of the jokes are making me giggle like hearing a USian pronounce British place names.

Like I'd sort of forgotten that Norwich actually does have a w in it...

Oddly, the only one he sounds unsure of himself about is Rochdale and he got that right on his first try.

He does say Bury like someone from Bury, though!

I assume you mean bury in the north not bury in Suffolk (which is ‘bury your dead’) :)

I assume Norwich and Greenwich (NYC) are pronounced somewhat similarly, but my brain absolutely refuses to comprehend this. Nor-itch? Nah-itch? Nitch? N[mumble]?
