2 Have you ever seen the same movie more than twice at a theater?

I don't think so? The ones I have seen even twice that I can think of were all ones that two partners wanted to see (usually Andrew and James, but for Invictus it was neither of those two). I was just talking earlier about seeing Deadpool with each of them and how the second time was the first time I'd been offered an audio description headset; it was such a revelation for me. I feel really lucky that I first tried it on a movie I'd seen before so I could tell exactly what a didfeence it was making.

But yeah I can't think of anything I've been to see twice just because I liked it that much. My parents, who all through my childhood went to the movies maybe once or twice a year, went to see Titanic three weekends in a row but I only went along the second time. And that's only because they made me, having decided after the first time that this is a universal cultural event that I would love. I thought I'd hate it which is why I didn't go the first time. I did hate it.

How many times did you end up seeing Ghostbusters? Was that once without AD, once with and then the group thing they gave you as compensation for their AD cock-up?

Yeah, even I've seen very few films *more than* twice in the cinema, and I'm a lot more likely to go to see a film more than once than you are. I *think* I've seen The Wicker Man three times in the cinema, I saw Horror Express at multiple FFWs, and I saw Ghostbusters (2016) in the cinema three times -- once with you, once in 3D on my own when you were away for the weekend, and once in the big group showing with everyone. I may have seen It's a Wonderful Life three times too.

But other than that, there's a load of films I've seen twice -- Dracula, There's Something About Mary, LA Confidential, Judge Dredd, the first two Nolan Batman films, The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, 2001, The Tingler, Addams Family Values, and a load I'm probably forgetting -- but I think it's only three total for films seen three times.

I'm old enough that the only way to see movies more than once was to go to the theater more than once. So my list is pretty long, nearly all from the mid-70s and 80s. Star Wars comes immediately to mind as the trilogy I saw in theater about half a dozen times each.

I saw Avengers Assemble four times in the cinema, but I was on maternity leave for every one (and very pleased to go somewhere cool and distracting)

I think it took N three attempts to get all the way through Frozen II, and I went by myself in the middle of that time, so I have seen that four times. (well, twice all the way through and twice about 2/3 of the way through)

Most things I only see once, and quite a few child-oriented things I haven't watched all of: either N has bailed early, or I've very deliberately read through it rather than try to tolerate watching (having ensured I have a seat in the back row and reading on night-mode on my phone, I'm not utterly antisocial).
