A few days ago Andrew decided he wanted to have a Date Night once a week, and we determined that today would be the first one. Original plan was to go see Birds of Prety but I've been under the weatehr today: headache, sinus pain, it hurts to talk. I felt bad enough that I skipped uni -- or at least bad enough that I was slightly late leaving the house and maybe that's why I had to wait 20 minutes in the cold for a bus. When it got to the point where I'd be late when it showed up, and I coudln't feel my fingers even with my gloves on, I went back to bed.

So anyway, I apparently looked bad enough that Andrew said maybe let's just go for a meal instead so we did. Nandos, and then I went and bought a new coat. I just picked up the first thing that fit me so it's very ugly and boring, not like my cool leather jacket, but it's warm and waterproof and the zipper works and it isn't torn in one seam and those are no longer things you could say about my cool leather jacket that I was still getting compliments on a few weeks ago.

I have a lot of uni work to catch up on but my mental health is crashing -- just, too much politics, and what'll happen to me after uni has been weighing on my mind since the careers stuff on Monday -- and I don't want to write the rest of the day off but also I don't know if I can do anything.

*gentle hugs* if you'd like them. New coat sounds excellent. I'll take warm and waterproof over looking 'cool' any day. My heavy winter coat, that I've had for 40 years (!) is nicknamed 'The Mushroom'. Ugly gold/brownish color, way too big for me when I first got it.
