One of the billion reasons I love my dad: in between the boring photos of my cousin’s wedding (which involve things like people’s garage doors, and photos of me in my pajamas and sticky-up hair opening presents Christmas morning, he has taken pictures of clouds. I like the way you can see the cornfields beyond our backyard, too.

I wish I had more pictures of it, the scope of the place, the horizon that so unnerves Andrew. :) It'd be fun to show off to my British friends.

She's called Oreo (but don't hold that against her; she's a German shorthair so my dad and I wanted to call her Heidi or Helga or something; my mom somehow still got to choose the name) and she is a good dog. She did her best to get into all the pictures my parents took of us outside in the snow.

It's gorgeous! Admittedly it makes me think aliens are hiding in the corn...And I love the picture of you and Andrew opening your presents.
