Halloween

I was shocked to learn, today, that Halloween is a mere week away. evil_grapefruit and I have talked about making idiots of ourselves once again this year, but we haven't yet actually done anything to get ready yet. We haven't even conclusively decided on what it is we're going to dress up as. Wanna help?

We made signs last year. I maen, if we're so lesbian-like anyway, we'd have to make it obvious for it to count as a Halloween costume! They pointed to each other, if we stood next to each other; one said "A Lesbian" and the other said "A Lesbian's Girlfriend." Sounds like fun to me. :-)

Yeah, I love that--and I would get to be him, of course. Not only am I shorter than Jenn, I am smarter and cooler as well! And I wear glasses. And have short hair. She's tall and girly and annoying--it's perfect! :-D

Dexter's Lab is my current favorite cartoon, so when Jenn and a friend of hers said it would be a good costume idea for the two of us, I was happy.

That, and I didn't know who DeeDee and Dexter were...I thought they were from that cartoon. Sadly, I had to do a Google check to verify.

I work Halloween night, or else I'd visit you too, Holly. ;) (Lez be friends?) If it's busy that night, I'll scream.

Too bad you have to work; it'd be fun to have you around for Halloween (I seem to remember you seeing Jenn and I doing the nudist thing last year, and offering us the bowl of candy). And, as previously stated, I don't have to work that weekend (which means I'm working this weekend, when it's all snowy and windy and gross), which does make it nice for seeing friends, but there are lots of weekends I don't work.

I also hope you don't go too crazy, working on Halloween. Would they let you dress up? I suppose not, but that would be really cool, to see witches or ketchup or mustard or something working at Target. :-) (If I'm not mistaken, it was Target where we originally saw the costumes for the ketchup and mustard bottles and got the idea in the first place.)

As for not knowing about Dexter's Lab ... well, if you visit, you can watch cartoons with me; we have cable! :-)

Yeah, I could have asked for it off, but I didn't have any plans. We might get to dress up, but I guess it hasn't been discussed. I know we have had costume contests in the past -- but whether or not you could wear them during your shift, I don't know. I have no idea what I'd even be.

Yes, I do remember Jenn coming by as a nudist and you (I think?) snapping a picture of his reaction. I ended up taking some pictures of Jenn with Seth and Michael. Memories...

There were some flurries this morning when I was coming home from work (naturally, after having been gorgeous all week, it'd get cold as soon as I have to work again). It's in the forties, but the psychological effect of approaching winter depresses me. Especially since I know it's coldest at night, when I am commuting to work, and early in the morning, when I am coming back. :-)

Yeah, Jenn was the nudist; I took pictures. THe one of Seth answering the door was really funny; his jaw dropped and his eyes bulged and that's what the picture is of! It was fun.

And hey, you can come watch cartoons whenever you want. :-D

After I read your LJ post saying Morris was "snowy," I checked the Morris forecast online and saw it was indeed true! How horrible! Sadly, there are also supposed to be a few flurries in my area in the forthcoming days as well. There's one good thing about winter to look forward to -- snuggling to keep warm. :)

I do recall the picture. It was the perfect reaction for Jenn's intent!

Ok Ok,
Who forgot to tell me that this is how we were going to decide for all hallows eve!!! I LOVE IT!!! Everyone better vote! Then we can take a picture and post it! Oh an Holly no matter what we are we need to make a detour to the zoo... I have to show Nate and James!!! It will only take a min. Plus you can come and see the play for free that night if you want... As my other half (it looks like DExter and DEE Dee are going to win) Its tech. watch. So we got a busy night!

Okay, I have a few questions and other things of interest to mention here.

What is "the zoo"?

Tech watch is a week before the regular showings of the play (that makes sense, sort of, but seems odd to me, perhaps just because I don't know anything).

Are you actually going to be able to look like DeeDee by Friday? Any ideas for what I can do, short of asking Katie for her lab coat? I need black pants, too. Maybe purple gloves or orange hair. Somehow. Are you in Morris yet? Will you be sometime? Call me.

Lastly, I would just like to point out that, according to the comment Matthew left on this entry, he is apparently coming this weekend as well. We can drag him around to whatever we do, or he can stay at my apartment if he doesn't want to come, so it shouldn't affect our plans too distinctly but is just something to think about. I thought you may like to see him again.
