Randomness ... in more ways than one

I have no experience with the former and little with the latter, but in the shower today (I always think about weird stuff in the shower; I think it's because none of the tasks at hand require any brain power whatsoever) I wondered how much a one-night stand could arguably have in common with clicking on "Random" here at LiveJournal. In both cases, you don't really know what you're getting, you don't really have any time to find out. As far as I can tell, it's not usually a good idea, but every now and then you might get lucky--really lucky--and find a keeper. Neither makes much sense to me, but I suppose they have their merits, if that's your kind of thing.

I had not been thinking about LJ or one-night stands until this thought occurred to me. I don't know if that makes me more or less weird for thinking it, but I'd like to point that out anyway.

Although, I think it's more like sleeping with Pat from Saturday Night Live. You never know what you're gonna get till your stick your hand down its pants.

That analogy ... is almost too good. Oh well; I still have a bunch of hours to forget about it before I go to sleep, so maybe I'll escape the nightmares. :-D

Interesting...I almost never think of stuff like this. And to me that makes you interesting (as I just said, but hey I enjoy repeating myself!), and not weird at all.

Maybe even making a HABIT of it.
