I asked Jenn if salmon ever get salmonella. "No!" she said. "So why do they call it that then?" I wanted to know.
Michele told me her mom, in sending out invitations for the open house, wrote "Michele will be getting a degree in science." I loved that. I told to Katie (I'd been IMing her anyway and she has the same major as Michele--not science, biology!); Katie said, "Well, that must mean that biology's the only science!" I told them they were amusing but wrong: physics is the only science. She said, "I think the study of life is more important than really big and really small and abstract things!" I really liked that definition of physics. And hey, couldn't you say life is also really big, really small, or abstract? Yeah, I think so.

I'm thinking of giving up my English major for piracy. Partially thanks to
ismelljello. That's why I'm a pirate today; I was already not doing anything.
