I just realized something: I love Hershey's Kisses.
I mean, I know that already. But I just found two in my backpack (from yesterday, it's not like they're moldy or something, they haven't been there as long as some of the things--or stuff--currently in my backpack; such a delicacy would not last long in my presence, you can be assured of that) and ate them and realized that I love everything about them.
I love the taste of their chocolate, of course, and the texture. I love the way they melt on my tongue, if I exhibit enough restraint to avoid simply devouring them. I love the way they smell, especially if you have a lot of them. I love the foil, that makes you slow down at least a little for each one as you unwrap it, and I love the different colors for holidays, though the silver is still my favorite. I even love the useless little flags (except when I don't notice that I haven't removed them and try to eat them) because they give the candy invaluable character, and style. Hershey's Kisses are perfect, and I love them.
Oh, I love Hugs too (white chocolate, mmmmm)--and kisses for that matter, and hugs, and yes Kisses with Almonds, definitely ... but all those things are different, and there's just something about the Kisses.
I realize that I'm starting to sound like one of those people in the recent Hershey's commercials that seem to get paid to tell you that Hershey's chocolate is orgasmic or so good it should be illegal, or something. I am not one of those people--no one's paying me, and I'm actually glad that chocolate is legal and not directly linked to orgasms because this way I can eat it in public.
The funny thing is, I don't even like chocolate or sweets that much. But I do love Hershey's Kisses.
