Practice random acts of silliness!
Apr. 10th, 2003 01:11 amWe bought two bags of Hershey's Kisses and two bags of Hugs. We tried to fit them into one bag each--I got the Hugs, she the Kisses--with some success. That way we didn't have to carry around two bags, you see.
We knocked frantically and annoyingly on doors of our friends' houses or dorm rooms, but otherwise just looked for open doors in the dorms.
We'd run in, usually Jenn first, and she'd say "Have a kiss!" and give them one and sometimes kiss them (theatrically; usually her lips didn't touch much, though she accidentally kissed a guy who we recognized as having been in our German class last semester ... of course his name is Matt ... ). I'd follow saying "And a hug!" Then she'd say something like "Have a great day!" and we'd run out.
We hoped to leave happiness, bewilderment, and/or the eating of candy in our wake. We only ran into a couple vegans and someone who said she'd given up chocolate for Lent. A few people asked us why we were doing this, what it was for. My most brilliant response to that was "it's for eating!"
We laid on the grass (after Jenn said "I haven't laid in the middle of the mall since ... last fall!" and I pointed out to her that of course she hadn't; it'd been covered in snow since) and looked up at the stars and enjoyed the nicest day (or night) so far this spring.
We came home exhausted and happy. A classic silly-Holly-and-Jenn activity had been revisited, and we were happy with the results.
Good to have you back, Jenn.
