Day off

After a week of being very busy, and being pretty ill for half of it as well, I'm looking forward to doing Nothing At All today.

Well, except the dishes really need doing.

And a couple of loads of laundry.

And that reminds me, I need to order a new dehumidifier, because ours is broken.

And I need to send at least two e-mails sorting out volunteering stuff.

And apply for two jobs.

And if I'm not too ill, I want to go to the discussion about Bisexuality: Identities, Politics, and Theories this evening...

But that still seems like a day of doing nothing!

It always seems like a sign of our times that our leisure periods are more busy than our work ones...

I ended up sleeping most of the day (the sinus infection on top of the busy week was apparently too much for my body, and I had to lie down for a couple of hours later in the afternoon too!). But I still did the one job application that needed doing today, washed all the dishes and laundry, cooked for both of us, took the dog for a walk, went to the bank, firmed up some plans for the next few days...not a bad day considering it was entirely powered by decongestants and ibuprofen!

I'm feeling better now than I was earlier today, but that's not saying a lot! Still I think I'm over the worst of my illness (though today my period -- a very rare thing on the birth control I'm on -- has decided to join it, so that's obviously helping a lot...). I hope that I can still do the stuff I was planning to this weekend, though, because I was looking forward to that!
