Should we talk about the weather
Oct. 30th, 2011 05:23 pmA friend of mine just said "It seems much later than 5pm" and I thought, this is part of why SAD is a thing. Short days do not favor the depressed.
At this time of day in June, I could've reasonably vowed to get up, have a shower and go to the park, take a walk, or whatever. Now, everything is telling me to give up and go to bed.
We need these last-ditch late-minute second chances, we depressed people.

(And extra love for choice of title/soundtrack.)
(And extra extra love for being you.)

Date: 2011-10-30 09:59 pm (UTC)This wasn't written at a time of feeling really horrible myself, more being reflective about it (and if I'm able to detach myself from it enough to articulate anything, things aren't as bad as they can be).
I love that old R.E.M. stuff, and don't listen to it enough. The lyrics seemed serendipitous (I wasn't going to go with the next line, that's for sure!).
Extra extra love for you too :)
