Stew rat

Jenn burned a copy of the CD Sarah Jean made me, and was responsible enough to get out the Sharpie so it doesn't end up as another blank disc she doesn't care about (she's very capricious with the unlabeled ones). "What's on this CD anyway?" she asked me.

"Die Prinzen and Stuart Davis," I said. "And a little Lyle Lovett. And Dave Matthews."

She made me spell "Prinzen," and I told her, for good measure, that "Lovett" is "'love' with two t's on the end." I wonder if Lyle Lovett ever tells people his name is spelled like that.

Then she said, "Oh, that was dumb."

"What was dumb?"

"I just spelled 'Stuart' ess-tee-you-are-ay-tee."

I thought about this for a second, spelled it out in my head. "Stu-rat!" I laughed. I was delighted.
