More on love
Jan. 11th, 2003 01:35 pm"It is only in the mysterious equations of love that any logic or reason can be found."
I don't know if John F. Nash, Jr., actually said that or not, but Russell Crowe said it in A Beautiful Mind, part of his Nobel Prize acceptance speech. I really like this quote, especially in that context. Mathematicians who seem cold and detached even when they're not seeming schizophrenic can still care about love!
I like to think that love is not completely illogical or unreasonable. I like to think that you can be in love and be intelligent at the same time (as intelligent as you were before, anyway!).
