"One of us!"
Oct. 31st, 2002 11:57 amI stayed up late last night--yes, midnight is late to someone who was sure she'd made herself ill from sleep-deprivation when she woke up yesterday morning--because I was watching Neon Genesis Evangelion. Which is more or less
soltice's fault, for lending me the first two discs of that series in the first place. I'd started watching it before and liked it but always gotten distracted or something before I got very far. Last night I watched three episodes in a row, and really didn't want to stop there; even though you know it's cheesy and you know he's going to make it because they wouldn't have this story otherwise...you still want to see it!
I went to bed, and slept until nine this morning. That was nice. No classes on Thursdays. Of course, this means I have lots of time to do my homework, and I currently have lots of homework. Almost enough to crush me under its weight. So what did I do? Cleaned my room, a little. ...And watched Eva.
Jenn came upstairs just before she left for class (she went to class this morning! I saw a friend of hers on campus and he was shocked when I told him where she was--we know that can't have been her; he thinks she fell down the stairs and her brain was damaged, I just think she's been replaced by one of the pod people) and saw me in front of the TV. "Watching more anime?" she asked.
"So?" I feigned being defensive about it (I've long ago resigned myself to the fact that I can no longer say I hate anime). "What are you doing?"
"Watching Buffy..."
Ha! Vindication! Buffy the Vampire Slayer is horrible!
