[290/365] skeletons

I've been saying since I moved in that I was going to do a little video of my house for my parents, who obviously haven't been able to visit since I moved in January so they've never seen it.

I realized now it'd be a lot better since I mowed the lawn the other day. My parents would've gotten stuck on how bad it looked before (whereas we don't care as such, but after a certain length the grass becomes various kinds of hindrance to the ordinary functioning of our household).

When I told diffrentcolours this, he said "And you can tell them all the skeletons are for Halloween!" Oh man, this is a good point. All the skeletons are not for Halloween. There are a ton of Halloween decorations, but there are also a ton of skulls and stuff that aren't for Halloween but are just part of the normal decor because of who mother_bones is as a person. I literally don't notice most of them but it has been mentioned by cleaners and potential lodges and stuff like that, heh. And it'll definitely seem really weird to my parents.

So yeah now is the time to do it, when it just looks like OTT Halloween. Definitely all these skeletons will be going away in a couple weeks. We definitely don't leave them up for Christmas and put Santa hats/costumes on a bunch of them then. Nope.

So if your parents ever visit during non-Halloween times will you... hide the skeletons in a closet? *runs away*

We have lots of skulls in our utility room - it's a big pun by Roo who calls it the skullery.

(we have long term plans for a walk-in pantry and I'm a bit worried about what he'll keep in there (especially in a British English context))

Also, having seen the adaptation of Hogfather, skulls wearing Santa hats is not that weird.
