cosmolinguistI had a horrible night's sleep -- thanks to a combination of Gary and my jerk brain -- but diffrentcolours woke up this morning in an even worse state, with a headache bad enough he emailed in sick to work on the day he most hates to miss work (Monday always means lots of meetings) and has spent most of it asleep.
Luckily we got the table that's going to be used as a desk and crafting table into its new position for those things yesterday, so today I could have my meeting and my job interview, both on zoom, somewhere that wouldn't bother him: before I'd done meetings from the desk that's about an inch from his feet when he's lying in my bed. Actually being able to plug my laptop into the router has helped with the connection problems I was having in meetings before, so I was glad not to have that to worry about during my interview -- I had lots of other technical problems instead! But the people interviewing me were very nice and reassuring about it.
Tomorrow I'm doing the kind of volunteering I'm used to doing for free, but I'm getting paid for it! And then I'm going to see Stuart, yay that hasn't happened in a while. And by the end of the work day tomorrow I should know if I've made it to the second round of interviews for this job or not.
I really hope I do. I really want this job.
