25. What's an opinion you held for a long time that you no longer hold?

I used to think I was, or just assume I was, cis and straight and monogamous.

I think that's an opinion that's been shattered by a fair few people over the intervening years, and nearly universally to their benefit in some way. (Even if sometimes came with a lot of bad things as well.)

Yeah my parents still think I'm all of those things, for example (not that they even know the words for two of them because they don't know it's possible to be anything else), and it wouldn't be fun to disabuse them of this notion.

Yeah. I'm sorry that they're at a state where there would be too much effort for not enough reward in trying.
