Reading week
Oct. 28th, 2018 10:06 pm"Reading Week starts now!" I overheard someone say as soon as our Theory of Grammar seminar was done at noon on Friday.
I was myself off to do some tiring train travel and then come back the next day and clean the house a bit and be out all night and get up for work today... Like always lately, the weekend not much of a break for me.
So I feel like reading week has started now, for me, now that I'm utterly unspeakably relieved that I've been able to turn of all my alarms for this week (except Wednesday, and just one is okay).
When encouraging us to finish up reading the assigned chapters from our Old English textbook, one of my lecturers told us "It is reading week, not sleeping week or Netflix week." But that just gave me the idea of how good "sleeping week" and "Netflix week" sound. I will be studying, I still don't have any confidence about understanding anything this semester, but oh hell yes there'll be sleeping and Netflix too.
