Laptop whinge agaaaain
Sep. 26th, 2018 02:26 pmOne of the things that makes me most angry about the DSA tech support people taking my laptop away and imaging it is that I'd just gotten a tough problem fixed with the most important bit of assistive tech I have, the screen reader/magnifier. It took hours of shared-screen time when I should've been revising for my exams, and more than one phone call to the manufacturer to get it fixed.
And since they wiped that Windows installation, the original problem has come back now.
I am so tired I could cry.

Date: 2018-09-27 08:15 am (UTC)I did end up figuring out the printer drivers (clearly in a less elegant way then before, but fuck it the printer works) and got Word back and have figured out almost everything I could.
I still don't have my files of my first-year notes and PDFs I wanted to keep. The original email said BB still have them on their server but they didn't say anything when I told them I don't have them on my laptop and can they give them back to me please.
