cosmolinguistLife has been a bit relentless lately.
A friend I hardly ever talk to got in touch yesterday, asked me how I'm doing, and I couldn't even come up with a cheerful version of my life -- something I'm usually very good at doing. I'm once again suffering from a real breakdown in narrativium.
I've found myself unreasonably upset about little stuff I'd shrug off normally. The future stretches before me with its obligations and not much to look forward to, when usually having nice things to look forward to is a really important part of the sellotape and string keeping my mental health together. It seems even my tiniest plans to relieve stress -- see friends, take naps, go out, anything -- have been canceled or complicated to the point where they don't feel like a break.
All of which is to say that nice things are particularly welcome lately. And right on cue, here iskaberett with a love meme, a post dedicated to saying nice things about people. Here's my thread, and you can start your own too if you want.
