They won yesterday though, so I think I'll watch that one. ;)

Oh, baseball commentators never change. Ours has just started the game with "The Twins are hoping to end this losing streak and, who knows, maybe even start a winning streak!" Well yes if they don't lose they have to win and if they win it will start a winning streak!

I think baseball commentators have the toughest job of all sports announcers since the game is so slow and there's so much time to fill. Maybe golf announcers are in the same boat, but I don't watch golf, so can't compare!

Cricket is even worse for radio commentators having to fill in time while not much is going on. Especially because if it rains they have to stop playing but the commentary carries on (until/unless it's certain that there won't be any more play that day)! I think this is one of the reasons I so love listening to it on the radio.

And yeah, I'm a frequent member of the "my favorite baseball team sucks" club. :) Small-market woes.

*yeesh* I did not know that. Are they too proud of being able to "play in any weather" to realize that they gotta up their game? (They wanted to play through the beginnings of the blizzard two weeks ago...)
