Getting the new phone to work like the old one is boring (and I'm a person who hardly bothers with "apps"! What a nightmare this'd be otherwise).

And I'll probably never get back some of the phone numbers...and certainly not the delightful text messages I'd carefully saved.

But it's still lovely to have had an excuse to hear from so many friends today -- people just saying "hey, here's my number" but I hear "I'd like it if you could talk to me some time, if you wanted." And it's enough just to be around the people I like.

I did just that with the last texts I got from my brother. I feel much less anxious now.

And thus the number was recorded in my phone as belonging to him... which I'm bound to forget about so it'll freak me out if you call and I see it appear :)
