Another poem about sharing a bed with Andrew, I guess

I curl up with the book
It'd be a nightly ritual
if I could remember to do anything
every night.
Still I like to get under the blankets
as I have before
and know I will again.

I like to sit with my knees pulled up to my chest
and grab one of the pillows from his side of the bed
all new and fluffy
because I bought them just a couple of days ago
and I think I should be rewarded
for the effort
by getting some use out of them
before he squashes them.

Even as I read I am thinking of how he'll come to bed in a minute
and turn the light off
right away
yanking me out of the book of poems.
The darkness would pull me away from anything, anyone
(my friends' faces, e-mails from my mom),
abruptly,
anything except him.
He is the only one who's still there
when the lights go out.

I had the most bizarre dream last night, it involved you and Andrew and juggzy and someone I don't know called Iain (with the extra i, specifically), and I was upset by stuff and Andrew was Kind. I still feel a bit out of it.

Aw! I imagine you probably feel less, or at least differently, out of it by now because I haven't had a chance to read comments today on account of parental invasion. Andrew can be very Kind in real life too; I'm glad it extends to the dreamworld too.

I love how in dreams you can tell stuff like whether he's Ian or Iain.

Less out of it than I was, I admit; it is all a bit weird, because I am kinda scared of Andrew online (I am scared generally, really). But I am grateful he was kind in me dream. He was all cute and sweet :-)

He certainly can be scary online, but he's not as harsh in real life. He just has a way of talking (and thinking) that, when translated to text, can seem, well, a bit scary. I'm glad to hear his cute, sweet self was the one in your dream. And it's terribly amusing for it being someone you've never even met (though he has to go back to Oxford again this August for summer school, and I might go with him this year, so maybe that'll change?).

Normally that's what I think too but by the time he gets to bed it's so far past any sensible bedtime that I'm too tired to complain and should already be asleep anyway :)
