Random Camping Adventures *

setharoo and I went to Blockbuster to rent a movie last night, but there was an unforseen obstacle in that (as there seem to be in so many of our plans this weekend): Seth did not have his membership card, and in fact could not get a new one without a driver's license and a credit card, and he also didn't have his credit card with him.

Our heroes, Seth and Holly, were dejected at the loss of the planned movie rental (Miracle, which neither had seen and both wanted to), and this cauight the attention of a Blockbuster employee named Andrew who, after being assured that we are not the type of evil scum that rack up late fees, let us rent the movie with one of a handful of membership cards he had in his pocket.

Our heroes were grateful to Andrew, and spent some time talking with the other Blockbuster employee, who was also cool (though I did not get her name) about our Random Camping Adventure, which was being hindered by things like the fact that it's supposed to rain (and, in fact, has rained today) and I forgot my sleeping bag at home. The girl said I should just share someone else's, and I told her--truthfully!--that I'd already told my buddy Seth that he'd have to share with me.

We also discussed the goodness of putting all the sleeing bags in a big pile and all the people under them... After I told her that it was going to be Seth and a bunch of girls, she was even more impressed. Though I thought that Andrew should've come with us. He had cool hair, too.

It has been, among other things, rainy and cold so far, so it's probably a good thing that we're sleeping in houses. And Seth and I are still seeing the people we were going to go camping with, though not for days on end as we would if we're camping, and no one's even sleeping in the same room as anyone else, much less in a big pile.
