It's very silly indeed. But c'mon, with my LJ friends, I couldn't resist.

Besides, my journal's seemed all Iraq and gay-marriage and mad-at-the-family (and other stupid people) recently; I felt I needed some more absurdity around here. I hold myself to a high standard in this respect, you know.

Oh, by the way, I don't think I ever told you that I got Mandrake up and running quite easily once my computer's video card (or something) decided to behave itself again so the computer didn't just beep at me when I turned it on. (Of course it's easy though, I have no network for it, not even a printer, nothing complicated!) I'm happy with it, except I don't have XMMS and I don't know why, and a couple of other things that are probably my fault and not its. I gave Slackware a shot, but it immediately started asking me questions I don't know the answers to, so I was much happier to deal with Mandrake's installation stuff.

andvariar, when he admitted that he could've gone for jokes but opted for honesty, I'm more glad to hear truth than lies. And there are some people that, if they didn't mention sex, I know would be lying. :-) And there'd be others (not just the girls, even) that, if they did mention sex, would be lying. I think he's one of the latter; I know you're one of the former.

I'd like to go to the zoo with you, so we could take pictures of and laugh at the tourists. And say hi to all the animals, of course, although I doubt we're anything but an annoyance for them.
