Instead of sex. (The song is about sex; the whole CD is about sex. Chocolate is about sex, chemistry is about sex ... ) I don't need that, I had a dream about sex last night. Sort of. I had a dream like the sex in the movies, where you see the guy kissing the girl's neck and then it fades out and you see them again afterward. This wasn't the lying-around-in-bed kind of afterward, either, it the was making-pancakes kind. Much better. And unlike in the movies, I know that sex actually took place between the scenes here, not just people wearing underwear covered up with blankets so you can't see.

Anyway, the sex thing is a tangent; what I meant to say is that I can listen to mp3s again now, because I fixed the sound on my computer yesterday. Sort of. It was a simple thing--actually, it was two simple things. The combination (and the fact that I hadn't thought of one of them at all) had kept me discouraged and unambitious for a while now. But I fixed one, and Matthew brought the other to my attention so I could fix that, and then I could watch the IBM Linux commercial, which he had sent to me and which had provided the impetus for all this sound-fixing in the first place. It also meant I found out how to play movies in Linux, which is nifty. And I really like the commercial too.

Half sex and half computers? My work here is done!

Mmmmmmmm

sex, chocolate, and computers. Sounds really good to me.

I just got a new laptop for work. It's really sweet, even if it is running XP -- 3.2Ghz, 1GB ram, 60GB HD, 1600x1200 lcd panel. But, I'll dual boot it, and then it will have linux! ;-)

Yes, the twenties were nice and warm -- I was out satyrday in short sleeves helping friends move. Sunday I'd broken down to a turtleneck and shortsleeve shirt. Satyrday night we got down to 0 here (sans windchill). Just a bit nipply. I don't mind it into the 20's frankly -- I've acclimated now; shorts, sandles, tshirt at 32 degrees. I guess maybe I should move a little further north ;-)
