You were a super high-tech jet fighter
Jan. 11th, 2004 11:17 pmMatthew wanted to be sure the copier part of my new beast was working and so he asked me if I had anything to copy. Not planning on copying anything, I just told him to pick something up. So he copied the cover of his checkbook. And, since that piece of paper was most easily accessible to me when the opportunity arose, it now also has Jenn's phone number on it. And, under that, my class schedule for this semester, which I realized I should probably look up and examine in some detail so I know where I have to go, and when, tomorrow.
The results are pleasing: my first class tomorrow is at eleven forty-five! And though I have the usual two English classes, neither of them is a lit class! I don't think that's ever happened before. And I know I've never been able to look forward to sleeping so late, if I so desire; I've had class at 9:15 every semester here except my first one, when I started at 10:30.
I like falling asleep curled up next to Matthew. (This is nothing new to me, but I was reminded this weekend.) I also decided I like waking up to see his face burrowed behind my shoulder or back or whatever happens to be between him and the light coming in the window. But then, he has told me before that he doesn't like sunlight; he claims the photons are spiky and hurt his eyes. I think he's just afraid of it--like most geeks, he's used to computer monitors and shuns natural light.
I finally saw Bowling for Columbine today, which everyone else saw a long time ago. Oh, I know they didn't, actually, because Matthew and Sarah, who watched it too, also hadn't seen it before. I liked it.
I went to Pizza Hut and Subway today, and ate more than I should've both times. It was so tasty ... I feel like a boa constrictor that has just swallowed a goat--full and lazy and happy.
