Darren gave me all (or at least most; a lot anyway) of the dark chocolates out of his bag of Hershey's miniatures last night. He even claimed, when we were in Wal-Mart, that he was going to buy them because I'd written about them.
This is at least the second time I've gotten some form of Hershey's chocolate from someone after, completely innocuously, mentioning in my LiveJournal how much I like that Hershey's product.

Date: 2003-12-30 10:30 am (UTC)But still, it's not a conscious thing, not like when girls go shopping with their boyfriends and say "Oh, look at that cute teddy bear!" and go over and hug it and say "it's so soft! I love it!" and coo and say "I really wish I had the money to buy this; it'd be really great but I don't have any." Then they bat their eyelashes at their hapless boyfriend and say "Maybe I'll be really lucky and someone else will get it for me ... " with a tone of hopelessness in their voice to indicate that they're sure it'll never happen and they'll be deprived of the joy-giving teddy bear forever ... so that way when the boyfriend buys it for them after all, they can squeal and kiss him and ... Yeah, that's not me.
Though it probably would be, if that had any chance at all of working on my boyfriend. :-) The one I have keeps me in line, though; it's good for me.
I think chocolate is good for me, too, though...
