It's amazing how stupid you can be when you're in love

... or John Mayer, or John Coltrane, or Eric Clapton, or Five Iron Frenzy.
More than spring.
Maybe even more than cherry Coke.
More than Chipotle
... or Pizza Hut, or Arby's, or Space Aliens, or the Olive Garden.
More than grammar, even the semi-colons (and I love semi-colons).
More than baseball, more than the History Channel, more than Tetris.
More than Spongebob, Dexter, or Bugs Bunny.
More than bassoon quartets, or all my DVDs, or silly walks.
More than rain.
More than this phrase I actually heard somebody say today: "Crackers are evil, hackers are just curious."
More than pajamas!

I love him more than all the things I always say I love.

So there.

That phrase actually bothers me. Probably because I remember the oldskool definition of Cracker, and had friends who qualified.

A hacker was somebody who broke into systems.
A cracker was somebody who brok into programmes.

Neither were evil, both were helpful.

Oh, I like the phrase because it's funny, not because I believe it. It was spoken by someone who didn't know such a thing as a cracker existed until I told her (we're doing a presentation about "hacking" for our CSci class and I've been trying to convince her that hackers aren't the bad people she's used to thinking they are). I just found it really funny.

My favorite English teacher used to have a saying: "Love is transitory, but grammar is forever."

Of course, this was also the teacher who would say, "parenthesis are ca-ca, commas are okay, but dashes are sexy!"

I loved that teacher. Unfortunately, that love was transitory.
