Gooey hands! Yes! Twitch!
Sep. 24th, 2003 08:34 pmIt's the season premiere of "The West Wing," something I've been waiting for ever since I heard Matthew say, "Man! We have a fat President!" I turned on the TV and put it on the right channel, at 7:55 (this is how excited I was). I got myself some cookies, not really paying attention to what was on the TV yet. But then I heard something that made me laugh. I picked up the phone, went into my room to check a number on a post-it note there, and dialed it. Ring, ring, ring. Oh, she better be there, I thought. This is too dumb to leave a message for ... but too good not to share. As long as I can do it now! "Hello?" Jenn said.
"Jenn, I have a story!" I said.
"Oh. Okay ... "
"So, I'm going to watch 'The West Wing,' right?" (She knew I'd want to; I'd been talking about it when we went to Alexandria earlier this evening.) "So I turned on the TV, and it's still playing some other show, right? There are these half-naked people, and they're panting." (She snickers a little here.) "And the girl says, I don't know, something positive, something like 'How did that happen?' And the guy says, 'I Googled "how to please your woman"!' " At least, I think he said that ... but either way, it's quite funny, as on the way back from Alexandria we had a conversation that went something like this:
Jenn [twiches]: Oh my god! With his hand? How did he know what to do?
Holly: Well, how does anyone ever know what to do?
Jenn: This is true. [thinks a moment] I wonder if he researched it on the Internet! I bet he did! [twitches again]

Date: 2003-09-24 10:29 pm (UTC)As for 'West Wing,' it is my favorite show and I've been a bit wary of Sorkin leaving. You know what? I'd say things look okay so far! The mood of the episode was somber, as one might expect, but there was nothing sub-par about it, for my money.
