(I suppose this is what I get for turning on the TV ... but all I wanted was somethig mindless to watch while I ate my lunch! No such luck.)

I saw a map showing how close Baghdad and Damascus are.

I saw something about "chemical weapons in Syria" scrolling along the bottom of the screen.

Is America making a policy of this?! The world is suddenly Bush's Risk board?

At least there were still the normal breed of idiots on C-SPAN; a nurse called to ask if SARS might have anything to do with bio-terrorism.

Yes, that's the right word but I think in this case it should be stressed more. GYYYAAAAAAARGH! Something like that.

It's a good word. And useful. I think it nicely describes a situation for which I could think of no other word.
