How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time.

My life seems full of half-eaten elephants all over the damn place right now. I try not to think about this too much because it diminishes anything I have accomplished. But some days the slog gets too much and I just long for anything to be easy or straightforward.

I can really empathise with this feeling. And telling oneself over and over that 'it's no good looking at enormous tasks as a whole, keep focused on the little steps' still doesn't seem to prevent me from taking the long view and getting demoralised/overwhelmed.

Yeah, I have to kind of alternate between the two ...

I'm glad that things are picking up a little bit. Do you think it will build up to some sort of momentum or is it the sort of thing that remains a slog?

Anything I can help with? You've been such a help to me recently, I'd be happy to return the favour.

I need to take some bits and pieces there too - how about we go tomorrow before painting?
