Throughout space and time I will travel to the place where that is being said at the moment it is being said, and I and my companions will jump out of said TARDIS, and we will say unto the girl, “You do what you want, because you are the boss of you, but I bet that you will be happier if you tell this dude to shove it and get out of here. Also, as someone who is prone to over-sharing and overthinking-therefore-wanting-to-talk-about-it, I found that thread a huge relief. Because I may forget previous conversations or not notice subtle redirects but I would always be mortified if I forced a sex conversation on a friend who wasn't interested. I wouldn't be offended or use it as a dominance thing.

I don't think I've ever known you to share things in a way that could make anyone uncomfortable, although of course maybe (almost certainly) you have different boundaries around different people -- but the mere fact of those different boundaries is probably in itself a good sign that you're calibrating this stuff according to the audience (unless the boundaries are very, very crude ones like constantly talking dirty to anyone you fancy and shutting up around anyone else, which I doubt).

It's something I have to be very, very aware -- almost hyperaware -- of myself. As a straight man with more women friends than men friends, it's very, very difficult to balance my natural honesty with my utter terror that a comment I see as just chatter might come across as me sleazily hitting on them or worse...
