Oh well, at least there's ibuprofen gel

Somehow it seems particularly unfair that I've got a mysteriously, but very and persistently, achy foot at the same time I'm having some kind of goddam existential crisis.

I can put up with physical or mental pain, but both at once always makes me feel like the universe owes me better.

Even though I know it doesn't. I'm lucky to have what I do, really.

The ibuprofen gel seems to be of limited help (which doesn't surprise me, given that it feels like the bone or ligament or whatever that's hurting) but it still seems like the foot is a bit better today, despite all the walking I've done, so I'm hopeful. Also today has been a much better mental health day, so that helps.
