I'm kinda sad we're not going out tonight to a new queer club night run by someone who actually responded well to diffrentcolours's questions about covid protocols. (Most places don't! They either never reply, or they say "we have really good ventilation" and CO2 readings end up being 2500 (three times what "good ventilation" would be), just like places that say they're fully accessible except uh for all the steps and the narrow doorways and the fact that a wheelchair couldn't turn around in the loo...)
But I've been exhausted all day so I am also terribly relieved not to have to navigate a new space in the dark etc.etc. Glad to stay in and watch the movie I bought in HMV yesterday -- Violent Night might not be very seasonal now, but it's just as fun!
Hopefully there will be more of this club night. I like to support events that are aware covid is not over. Especially queer ones. Apparently tonight sold out! So that bodes well for us getting to go some other time.
