I stumbled downstairs about eight o'clock this morning, feeling unnerved by the quality of the light in the house.

It was only after I'd opened the curtains and been sitting down for a minute before I realized the sun's shining. That's why I felt weird. I hardly recognized or remembered what it was like.

Ohhh, sunlight after days of cloud cover is like a drug to me. I get like a cat, stretching and smiling and just bathing in the light. Something about it being sweeter after darkness....

Haha. I visited California 15 years ago and spent my whole week there squinting in the bright light. Got back to London and was oddly relieved to be back in the tupperware box that is our normal weather.

this was a serious factor in me deciding for london over manchester. I get SAD in SE England, which is generally brighter/sunnier/drier than NW England. ANd oh gods the rain.

Realising that long term i want to live somewhere generally warmer and sunnier, and that means further south in the world. I'd be so much more well, as warmth/heat/light good for both my mental and physical disabilities and my mood.
