The world in solemn stillness lay
Dec. 21st, 2007 07:16 amWhen we finally went to bed, the glow of the moonlight off the snow lit up the whole room. And I could see a million stars outside my bedroom window.
I miss the stars as much as Mexican food or baseball, proving what I've been saying a lot again: the differences between the US and the UK aren't as great as the differences between growing up on a farm and living in a city.
With all the obvious reasons for being glad I'm here for Christmas, I didn't notice until now how glad I am to spend the longest night of the year somewhere than I can really appreciate the night.
