I had four or five IM conversations going at one point last night. It was fun!

In one of them, [livejournal.com profile] ismelljello and I were talking about how there should be a geeky action movie. "And Chain Reaction doesn't count," he said. Apparently he didn't like it. I've seen that movie once, a few years ago, and I don't remember much, so when he started complaining about Keanu as a scientist, all I could think of was "That's better than him being the savior of the world!" Which, of course, got me thinking about Revolutions, which opens today, which is of no use to me as I live in Morris. But I want to see it anyway!

It struck me as rather ironic that last weekend Sarah and I couldn't find any movies worth seeing when Matthew was around to drive us to Alex, but this weekend there's one I want to see--and wouldn't mind seeing with him--but he's not here!

So I jumped over to another IM window and told him "You should have come here this weekend so I can see the new Matrix movie." I knew it was illogical; that's why I bothered to phrase it as a demand, knowing he wouldn't take me seriously. But he said, "I could maybe come there. I don't have anything else planned for this weekend."

I love it when things I say in jest end up happpening. This one is not certain yet ... but the mere fact that he didn't immediately scoff at me, which is what I expected, makes me happy. Even happier than the idea of watching Keanu save the world.
