10 easy steps to looking like a french college student, for girls

1. Do not speak, your accent will invariably label you as a forigner. If you must speak, perfect 3 simple phrases: Beh Oui, non, je ne sais pas, and Merci Beaucoup. Pardon is also a useful phrase.
2. Most french women are extremely thin, and quite fine-boned and short. There are always exceptions, so if you do not fit this description, do not let this bother you. Wear well cut, stylish clothes. Also, wear small, fashionable shoes. A well cut wool coat is a necessity, accompanied by a scarf. Stylishness, while useful, can be circumvented if you avod overly american clothes and wear everything as if it is stylish french items.
3. Smoke alot. Also, drink small cups of coffee from dispensers as much as you smoke. If you have a good accent, it is permissilbe to say Beh oui alot and wave your hands around expressively, especially with a cigarette in your hand.
4. If you have said accent, aquire a fashionable cell phone and use it as often as possible.
5. Do the Bises [?] (kisses on the cheek) often.
6. Leave your magnetic bus pass in your purse and let the magnet pick it up through the fabric.
7. It is not necessary to have a backpack to be a student. A large purse, and folder in hand are enough. If you have a backpack, make sure it is one of the side sort of bookbag.
8. Pens. One needs: a black or blue fountain pen, with accompaning erasable marker (one that erases the ink). One also needs a red pen, also one in green is useful, but not necessary. One or two highlighters should be used sporatically throughout notetaking. All pens must be used in each class period.
9. Hold hands with no one but your boyfriend, if you have said boyfriend, walk hand in hand, whispering sweet nothings in his ear as much as possible.
10. ALWAYS BE ELEGANT! This is the most important rule. everything else can be covered by this one rule. Act as if you are wearing the most stylish outfit on the planet. Practice your model walk, then use it. Aquire a presence, then exude said presence at all times. This is the true secret. If you have presence, your validity at fist glance cannot be questioned.
If you don't recognize me when I get back, and I act like this, you will know what happened to me I became a french college student. I don't think I could pull it off though.
