My bridesmaids (well, the three I hang out with and say are going to be my bridesmaids) and I have come to the conclusion that the Star Wars theme I will march to for my wedding will be played on kazoos. By them. Until then, they're practicing saying "doo doo" into their fists. And, since there has to be music when they are walking up the aisle that has to be different from mine, I suggested "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." In a round! When each new person comes in, they can start singing. Playing. Kazooing. Whatever. (Does this make them kazooists?)

The three of them practiced at lunch today. Sarah would start because, good Catholic that she is, she would listen to everyone else otherwise and sing what they're singing. Then Jenn joined in. Then Al. Then I dissolved into giggles. They "practiced" again, and I laughed again, just as much.

"This is fun!" someone said. I agreed. "I want you to get married right now!" Al told me. And, right then, I wanted to get married right then too.

So of course Jenn threatened to call Matt and tell him he had to marry me so they could play kazoos in my wedding...but I wasn't worried. First of all, he'd consider it a novelty to get a phone call. Second of all, he'd just roll his eyes. Third, it wouldn't be the dumbest random phone call he got that was inspired by me. (One day this summer I got Darren to call him and ask him why blue and green screens on TV are blue and green instead of some other color.) Besides, this is Jenn; she never follows through on anything she says she's going to do.

And there are other good ideas. Al suggested playing the Imperial March (you know, the Darth Vader music) when the groom is walking up the aisle. I really like that...especially if I really were marrying someone evil like Matthew. Sarah said they can put the kazoos in their bouquets when they're not using them. "They can be color-coordinated!"
