Already winning at today

The two replacements in my veg box this week for things I don't like are asparagus and blueberries.

Two of my very favorite things!

Swapping things I dislike for the best things feels almost like cheating.

I hope everyone feels like the universe is for once unfair in their favor this morning.

That sounds DELICIOUS! And it's awesome that you were able to switch them out for those. Eating food that we like is a huge part of enjoying life.

You tell them what you like and dislike, but they choose each week's selection from what's available at the time (which can be checked on the website but I never get around to it). So I know I'll get stuff I like but I don't know what I'll get in exchange for the stuff on my 'dislike' list, and so I did enjoy the element of luck, however illusory, this week. :)

Asparagus only exists in my world as the flagship policy of the Standing At The Back Dressed Stupidly And Looking Stupid Party. Clearly this is a carefully targeted polling-week veg box ;)

There is a link between these two of your favourite foods: both of them are used to make risotto. Aspagarus risotto, obviously. Blueberries on the other hand are used to make a delicious risotto together with taleggio cheese.

Thought you might like to know as I know that you like random facts and linkages etc.
