Mosquitos with boxing gloves

I took the post-late-night-mattress-adventure tea cups into the kitchen, surprised to see how crowded the countertop next to the sink was with similar of their kind.

I just did the dishes first thing this morning, and now most of the mugs are dirty again.

I had to smile when I saw them. It's so nice to have company.

Our old place wasn't very nice, it was poky and cluttered and I was ashamed of it, didn't -- couldn't -- have it at all how I'd like. So I always went to visit my friends.

The new house still has a long way to go, I think, but it's still so much better and anyway my friends don't care. I'm just so not used to being the one who gets to wave goodbye and close the door with a sense of satisfaction.
