A nice start to the day
Feb. 18th, 2014 08:50 amThe great thing about international mail is it takes long enough that even if someone's told me they're going to send me something, I have enough time that I inevitably forget about it before it gets here. So by the time I have it, it's the best kind of present: a surprise I'm sure to like.
Such was the case this morning, when I got my valentine from
kickthehobbit. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I took her up on her offer to send people valentines, but what I got is a proper valentine, a handwritten letter of nice things about me.
kickthehobbit is awesome.
Such a lovely thing, the handwriting of a person from the internet. This is like the good old days of LJ.
But then, as Gogol Bordello says, there were never any good old days: they are today, they are tomorrow.
So, who wants letters? I've got some cool postcards too.
