Andrew turned the heat off (he thinks he turned it "way down" but he turned it so far down that the thermostat would never kick in) when he got back home yesterday afternoon. So by this morning, it was so cold that getting out of bed hurt.

Thus I figure I'm justified in staying in bed with the DVDs of live performances of M.R. James stories that we saw last night, until the house warms up.

That's my story, anyway. It's not at all because so much has been happening lately, with no real breaks to process it, that my brain has turned to jelly.

Excellent plan. I miss my duvet this morning.

(Am rather curious why duvets never really took off in the US; I know they're available, I got one from Ikea when I was over there :)

I'm very lucky that I can usually stay under the duvet on days when I feel I need to (my job's the kind of part time where I work six days some weeks, and one day other weeks; I've just had the first sort of week, so now I'm hoping for the later).
