Possibly my most #dadcore thought EVER

On a single tube train alone the other day, I saw two people in black thin-rimmed aviators and all I could thin was well now I know what I want my next pair of glasses to look like!

Never felt so much like a dad, possibly because that style always reminded me of my dad since that's what he wore when I was a little kid.

But one of these two people was a young person of ambiguous gender presentation, so I have hope that such things can become fashionable among the queers.

I'm due an eye test, and presumably new glasses, so I've been keeping an eye out for what kind of frames I might want (since the narrow rectangular thick-framed "hipster glasses" that seem to suit me best are not as readily available as they once were! the frames I have now are boring as hell, too big and too round for me even though they're not as much of either as has been popular lately).

Yeah it's wild seeing kids now dress like how kids dressed when I was a kid. :)

I know what you mean, I kinda love and hate it too. I think I'm trying to be a little more prepared this time because part of what made my current glasses so disappointing was having no real plan. So we'll see if me having an idea ahead of time what I want helps at all. :)

I frickin LOVE aviators. I have a (cheap) pair and I feel so cool wearing them. Maybe I look daggy to others but who cares?! I hope you find a good pair that suits you.

I similarly do not care how I might seem to others, I think this is a big part of why this feels like such a dad thing to do. My dad is the epitome of being cool because he does not care if he's cool. :)

I honestly didn't realise daggy wasn't universal. I've been using it my entire life. Google says it's an Australian/New Zealand term.
