The one thing about discord that I wish I could get on Signal is different names for different group chats. I'm the only Firstname Lastname LinkedIn-sona in this new trans group I've joined; everyone else has a single lowercase noun for a name, like a normal person.

I hosted a hybrid meeting today, and when D asked who was coming, the names I gave him were one animal, two vegetable, and one mineral.

That is good for me to know. I will likely stay with otter if I sign up for signal, or aj_otter, as I am on discord.

Oh sorry, I'm talking like the display name that people see when you message, not the username. Like my username is a random word, a period, and then a number. It's my display name that's just my first name and last name.

I've found the concept of a worksona to be very useful, so I guess I just took that to its logical consequence here. :)

I'm Mama Kaye on discord, because I mostly use it with my kids and their partners. I know I _could_ change is for other discord groups, but so far haven't bothered, so people get what they get
