Disappointing end to a day of disappointments

Me this evening: ugh I feel so weird and I can't explain it at all but something is not right in my body! I'm incredibly uncomfortable and out-of-it and yet I have no specific complaint or explanation for this!

Me now: oh I wonder if this is a migraine

You know, migraines, that thing I chronically get??

It's rough having an illness that attacks your brain, because your brain is all you've got to assess everything, and when I've got a migraine my brain can be very bad at assessing how I am doing or why!

Yes, totally get this. My migraines mash my interoception so I can't identify when I'm brewing a migraine which makes quick zapping with triptans very difficult.

I feel that. My most common migraine symptom is overwhelming anxiety with no clear cause. :|

I’m like this with my migraines too. I get both ‘standard’ migraines and a flare of the one that is constant (but mostly medicated out of awareness - vertiginous migraine), and when the VM flares it can take me *hours* to register. And I’ve had this for 17 years now. I don’t get any better at it!

I've had standard migraines since my 20s and I honestly couldn't say how long I've had these no-aura ones, because I'm so terrible at identifying them :D

Yep. The aura just makes it easier doesnt it? If I get an aura (those have gone since this new type came) I take painkillers straight away. Otherwise I’m terrible. I’ve had a headache all day and haven’t taken pain meds because I keep forgetting that I can (even this won’t prompt me).

One of my migraine auras is certainty that I'm about to have a stroke. Migraines suck.
