So I'll do it too: describe yourself using 5 things that are probably in your purse/backpack at any given moment.
I think, excepting my wallet and keys, there are only five things in my little man bag! Here they are.
- masks
- co2 monitor
- guide cane
- Disabled Person's Railcard
- fingerless gloves wrapped up inside hand-knitted hat (that might be too small for me now; I blame its age and number of times it's been washed, rather than me getting a big head!)

Date: 2024-12-26 09:58 pm (UTC)I similarly had a digital one previously because I needed it at short notice. It was okay -- I didn't always have to show it which was good because I don't like getting my phone out in a busy station when I've got at least one hand taken up with my cane etc. -- but it was a pain sometimes, like when D and I were waiting on the concourse in Piccadilly and he went to get us some food before our train and wasn't allowed through the ticket checkers because he had his ticket but it said he was travelling with a disabled person's railcard and he could not show it. I didn't want to give him my phone because our train was soon and I didn't want to risk not being able to find him. So when that card ran out, only a couple of months ago, I was very excited to get a physical card again this time. I even got the brallie sticker on it because, while I don't read braille, it makes the card usefully different from my others when I'm fumbling around in a hurry.
