Counselor: how was your week?

Me: pretty good! work was easier. Nice chill weekend... So what do I talk about then??

It turns out I hadn't mentioned my brother or my marriage to her at all.

So yeah I had a busy session catching her up on how I got to the UK (and the state I was in when I did it).

If ever there was a time for an upside down smiley face in this journal where I swore off emojis 20 years ago, this might be it.

I am exhausted now.

Well I was exhausted anyway already, because this morning I had to do a work thing I hate (which also is in-person, standing/walking the whole time, and doesn't make for easy breaks for snacks or a pee...this isn't why I hate it but it doesn't help!), having a meeting with my manager about something big, helping deal with the Tesco delivery when it arrived, and now I'll have circuits in a little bit which I'm looking forward to but also oof.
